Extract Highlights from PDF into a Text File

Download DyAnnotationExtractor to your computer. Unzip it. Put the PDF (original one) in the same folder where you extracted the above zipped file.  Open command prompt in the existing folder location. The easier way to do this is to type 'cmd' in the address bar and press Enter. There's a file called 'DyAnnotationExtractor.bat' . Drag that bat file into the CMD window. Press ENTER. Enter the following command with necessary changes to the input (e.g. original_pdf.pdf) and output file name (e.g. outputfilename.txt) as required. DyAnnotationExtractor.bat -input “original_pdf.pdf” -output “outputfilename.txt” You will see the extracted highlights in the text file in the same folder. (Here outputfilename.txt) Thank you epubor .

COPY/PASTE a Preeti Font text in Google Docs

Have you come across a situation where you have a .pdf or .docx or an .odt or any word file with text in  Preeti font and then you have to open the file or copy the texts in Google Docs? This is a very complicated use case to explain actually. I have come across this situation multiple times. You might have as well. I have explained the process to few other random people in Facebook groups. So today, when a very lovely friend 💗 of mine was trying to copy some text in Preeti font into Google Docs, she asked me for help. And being an equally lovely and helpful friend 😎 , I guided her.  This made me think writing a blog explaining the process so that next time when I come across this problem or someone else asks me for help, I can just send the blog. Better no? Plus, honestly, I myself am going to be confused about this process after a few months. So as a reminder to myself as well. So here are the simple steps: Below is an example of a Preeti font in  a .pdf file. If I open the above

XPS 13 9360 | Certain keys not working on the keyboard [SOLVED]

Photo: laptopmag.com I came across this issue few week backs while delivering my class. Usually, my laptop is connected to a projector through a USB-C hub and a mouse when I am in my class. One day, I realized the 'I' key wasn't working properly. I could type 'i' only if I hit the key a little harder. I assumed it was due to the projector being connected or the mouse of the USB driver not connecting properly. When I'm working at home, the laptop is connected to a LCD Monitor via USB-C hub, a mouse and an external keyboard. I didn't realize the issue at home because I am pretty much using my external keyboard. Two days back, I was typing without the external keyboard and faced the 'I' key not working issue.  This time, it seemed permanent. Applying more force to the key didn't work either. I cleaned the keyboard slots with a brush too. Didn't work. So I took onto Google to see if there could be any solutions though I had assumed it was a har

Facebook's new Dating Feature

"There are 200 million people on Facebook that list themselves as single, so clearly there's something to do here," Zuckerberg said. So, Facebook is launching an app called Dating . Well, it's not necessarily a standalone app, but an added feature to the Facebook. AT F8 , FACEBOOK’S annual developer conference, Mark Zuckerberg announced a new dating service, simply called "Dating," that will exist right within the social network's own app. It will allow Facebook users to create separate profiles from their main Facebook accounts to pursue romantic connections. The two profiles won’t interact, meaning your Facebook friends won’t be able to see what your Dating profile says.  -  Wired In a country like ours (Nepal), the match making apps and sites like Tinder haven't lifted up that good. The reason might be that the country is small with a small market. Only Kathmandu, the capital, being the one with tech savvy population, people in other pa

Easy trick to download from Youtube - No plugin/extension

Easy trick to download from Youtube - No plugin/extension I download a lot from youtube (Thank you youtube for being there for us). There are lots and lots of extensions and plugins to help you with download. I used to use the IDM plugin (everyone loves IDM! ), but then suddenly IDM integration started having problems with both Firefox and Chrome. I needed something better. Then I found about this trick.  It is SIMPLE. Just add ' ss ' before any youtube link and press 'Enter' or 'Go' or anything as such. This will lead you to a next website where you can download. The best part is it will offer you a list of quality options, thus giving you choice of quality and size. I usually pick webM 360p which is decent quality and not very large size.  KEEP READING. Here's a problem that I faced in the beginning. When I press 'DOWNLOAD', the download began using the browser's default downloader. Yes, that's a problem, because it is
