Hike to Chisapani #Nepal

Hike to Chisapani #Nepal

Chisapani is a popular Hiking destination among tourists and it lies 14 km far from Sundarijal. Thus climbing the windy path along thick woods and crossing over Shivpuri Conservation Area and Mulkharka, one can reach Chisapani in 4-5 hours. Alternatively, one can choose the way from among Budhanilkantha or Sankhu or Nagarkot of Bhaktapur.

Me and some of my fellow hikers went on a  two days, one night hike from Sundarijal to Chisapani.

Here are some tips if you are planning a trip as well. :)

- Take the bus to Sundarijal from Old Buspark, Kathmandu.

- It is a 4-5 hours hike for normal hikers, 2 hours hike for the pros (the army said so), and 6 hours if you are a noob. So prepare you plan accordingly.

- However, I would recommend you to start as early as possible, so that you can see the sunset (if the sky is clear) from Chisapani itself and you could also get to roam around Chisapani.

- It is better if you book the hotels beforehand. The hotels aren't that HI-FI, but good enough for a night stay.

- Rooms are cheap, somewhat like Rs. 500/room, 2 single beds in a room. The food was comparatively very expensive, more expensive than the trek destinations like Langtang, Ghandruk etc.
Example: 120 for boiled egg, 500 for non-veg nepali set, 400 for Momo.
(Prices may vary)

- There are multiple trails to reach Chisapani. If you or your fellow hiker finds steps difficult, try taking the vehicular route. Returning the same route might not be interesting, though.
My suggestion: Take the steps (go slow) to go up and come down through the vehicular route.

- Don't miss the DHAP (a small pond like thing). Look at the map for this.

- Take a map with you. Or take a snap of the map which is there at Sundarijal. Note the important places so that you could track where you are and the time you will take.

- The last bus back to Kathmandu leaves at 5 30 or so, prepare your return accordingly.

Timi Uta Ma Yeta (Sunsaan Raat Ma) Guitar Chords - Pratik Gurung Cover - Original by Milan Newar, Rajan Raj Shiwakoti

I came across this song when Kanden Limbu sang this in Nepal Idol.  He was one of the contestants. I thought it was his original. Surprisingly, it is not. His was based on Pratik Gurung's cover. This is actually a full fledge song with a music video. Here's the original one. However, I like the cover version. Here are the chords for a portion of the song. The chords are based on this tutorial . In the tutorial, plucking is used. You can strum as well if that's what you prefer.  CAPO: 2nd fret STRUMMING: D-DU Plucking used: 5-2-3 (C and Am), 4-2-3 (FT and GT), 6-2-3 (G) Chords: C, Am, G Major, F Major Triad (FT), G Major Triad (GT) NOTE: It's easier if you play G Major in C's original position; just move 2 and 3 fingers one step up.   C                             Am (Sunsan raat ma yo mero aatma FT               GT    C Chasakka bi...
