So the SLC results are out. Many must have got results lower than expected, while some might have got MORE than expected (through cheating :P , I don't think that's bad. It's an art. I never learned how to perform this art. I sincerely bow to the cheaters :) )
Heard a news yesterday, some kid committed suicide because he failed in SLC. Is someone reading this, thinking of the same? Before you kill yourself, look at the mirror and ask yourself "Am I that weak?". If you still think you are weak, I don't have anything to say. You don't deserve this beautiful life. But if you think you are strong, if you know you are strong, don't lose hope, there is always a second chance.
If you got lower marks, don't think you are dumb. ( If you got higher marks, never build the ego " I am the BEST" ). It's just an exam. There are many such exams. They don't measure your intelligence and wisdom. (BTW, there's difference between intelligence and wisdom. You might want to Google it. ) These exams just measure what have you learned from books. I am not saying, books are useless, exams are useless. But they aren't everything. You might not be good in studies, but you might be better than your class topper in games, art, music etc. Does the exams measure that talent in you? NO! So, getting lower marks in exams doesn't mean 'YOU DON'T HAVE ANYTHING IN YOU'. Everyone has something in them. Some find it soon, some take a little more time. Try to find THAT in you.
So, you don't need to study? OH, NOT THAT. Be good in studies, that won't hurt at all. If you have bookish knowledge, that will be helpful for sure. The main benefit of being a topper is you will get scholarship. It will help not you, but your parents. Think about your parents not taking tension about how to pay your fees. Feels good right? You might want to study hard for that. Well, I did study hard for that reason, for sure. But, never forget your passion. Some might have a passion in learning as well. I have seen people so passionate about studying and studying.
BE GOOD AT YOUR PASSION.
Now is the time to make your decision. I was not so matured when i passed SLC. But you kids these days, have become forward in everything(mobiles,facebook,girlfriend/boyfriend etc) , I hope you are matured enough to decide what's right for you. Now is the time to decide for yourself, and not your parents. If your parents push you to a field you are not interested, LEARN TO SAY NO. Tell them about your passion, tell them that it will make you happy. Like said in 'Three Idiots' , tell them you may not earn much in this, but you will be happy. (If you haven't watched that movie yet, I request you to watch that atleast once. )
"Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life."
-- Confucius
Talking is always helpful. Communicate with your parents. Ok! have fun in the day with your friends, in the evening, take some time, sit with your parents and talk to them.
(If your parents are rich, I would suggest you not to study at all, spend your money for the poors, the street animals and all those who need you. I never got to do that :/ )
There is a long life ahead of you, nothing to worry about a mere SLC percentage now. The life ahead of you is so beautiful. You will get to face challenges and make yourself stronger at each step of your life. Everytime you get frustrated and lose hope, look at yourself in the mirror and cry loud "I AM STRONG".
As I always said, " Life is fantastic on its own, so live it just the way it is."
Never forget to enjoy the beauty of your life. Have fun at every step. :)
