- You are an Ephemeral river with high velocity, ambitious and full of energy. I am an Open lake, just sitting there and not hurries. But it seems, the end we want to reach is the same after all - the ocean.
So who is right here?
The river because it aims high and will reach the sea faster (probably) ? But does it mean the lake is wrong just because it's chilled, flowing at a constant pace and isn't worried if it should reach faster? - What kind of rider are you?
Imagine a small one lane road, which can accommodate only one car. But it's a two-way road however. You are driving along the road, with a speed a little above the average - probably 60 km/hr. You see a car approaching you from the opposite direction with almost the same speed as you. It doesn't seem like the driver in the other car will stop. You are extremely close now.
What will you do?
Will you slow down and give way to the other car? Or expect the other driver to slow down (unintentionally)?
So, what kind of rider are you?
Now, replace the road with your life and the car with your ego. Imagine a situation analogous to the above car vs. car case. What would you do?

This is actually a full fledge song with a music video. Here's the original one. However, I like the cover version. Here are the chords for a portion of the song.
