We ADOPTED
Anecdote
I have loved animals since ages.I used to be afraid of dogs in my childhood days. After being attacked by a dog when I unknowingly stepped on his food 'bone', I lost the fear somehow.
My family loved animals too, specially dogs. We TRIED keeping few, but by accidents or by any other cause, they died. May be we were bad pet keepers. We even had few parrots.
My love for animals increased after I came to Kathmandu for my +2. I used to stay alone, in a rented room in Katunje, Bhaktapur, away from my family. Staying far wasn't a very new thing for me, though. Staying alone was. I stayed in a hostel for many years. I started feeling alone. That was when I got WHITE MICE. I had a whole family; mum, dad, son and a daughter. All the members died when I had completed 12. I had brought another mouse again. She too died.
I ended up having a dog, a cat and a mouse together in the same house. Though I wasn't spending a long time with them, I had fun whenever I returned back Kathmandu.
Later I had a cat all to myself, which got lost. Later found out that someone had killed her. :/

My parents were finally leaving business and would have time for us and themselves as well. We had been planning to get a dog since long. But none had the time to care for one. Now, my mum would be free, after ages. She wanted to have a dog, SPITZ specially. My sister too wanted to have a SPITZ. My dad wouldn't mind any breed but shouldn't be street dog. I wanted to adopt one, always.
So I was in dilemma to whether adopt one and give him/her a life or gift my mum a SPITZ.
Few days back, I saw a facebook post which had photos of few pups for adoption. The mother dog had died and the pups were homeless. One photo just caught my eye. A white dog, cute face, pink feet. I wanted to have it. I showed the post to my sister, she didn't care much.
Since I wouldn't be here and ultimately my mum was the one who would be taking care of the dog, I couldn't bring the dog by myself.
But I decided.
After a long desire to have a dog, a dilemma of whether to adopt one or buy a SPITZ (my mum loves SPITZ), on October 20 ,2015, I went along with my sister and brought the dog home.
And thus SETI became our new family member.
She was just 10 days old. We have no experience of keeping a dog that young. We fear if we can do it. It's been 3 days now. She looks healthy.
I know most of you have expertise on this. Could you please help me in this?

I would like to thank Rajesh Maharjan and the Patan Community who took care of this pup and other more dogs in their community. I believe every community should come ahead and help the street dogs. Ask Animal Nepal, KAT Centre and others to come in your community and spay the dogs around.
