Facebook and twitter, the leading social-networking sites have a 'cover/header' feature now. There are numerous websites that will generate a photo for you, or you can download many such photos.
But, wouldn't it be awesome if you could make one such for yourself? AWESOME right?

But I can teach you another way of making a cover for yourself, by yourself. :)
- First go to this site http://new.weavesilk.com/

These are done with photoshop. They aren't so tough to do, intermediate level photoshopping. However, I'm not good with tutorials.
But I can teach you another way of making a cover for yourself, by yourself. :)
- First go to this site http://new.weavesilk.com/
- Drag your mouse to weave silk. ISN'T IT AWESOME? :)
- You can choose the colors and symmetry at the left corner.
- Have fun, get creative, create awesome web.
- Now, take a screenshot of the image. If you don't know how to do this, find the 'PRNT SCRN' key on your keyboard and press it.
- Now, go to some picture editing softwares likepaint or photoshop. Paint would do fine.
-Click CTRL+V to paste the screenshot.
- Now you can write some text or your name or anything personal and here it is, your cover/header created by yourself. :)
NOTE:
The fb cover and twitter header dimension may vary from the image screenshot you just pasted. If you have a little idea of photoshop, it's easy. If you don't have idea, continue reading...
(hoping you have photoshop installed)
- open new document of 880 width and 325 height.
New document
- paste the screenshot or drag the image you just created, in this new document.
open the edited screenshot in photoshop
Drag it to the new document
- CTRL + T to manipulate the size and make it as you like.
Transform tool
press the CHAIN sign above to maintain the aspect ratio
transform as you like
Click the tick button or press enter
you are done :) yay!!
- Save the document as .jpg or .png or .gif
- You have finished creating your cover/header.
